Three consecutive days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in person. A certification exam closes every day and the credential is awarded on day three.
Twenty seats. Three consecutive days. A Texas Master Plumber at the front of the room and nothing installed, because everyone in the chairs already knows how to hang equipment. Here is what happens on each of the three days, what the seat includes, and what it does not, so an owner can decide whether to send somebody before the first city fills.
Days one and two make you competent. Day three makes you money.
Short answer
Day one is water science and certification: water chemistry, contaminant identification, reading a water quality report, field testing, and the first of three exams. Day two is product knowledge: what each HALO system does, which home needs which one, and how to present every product with authority. Day three is the sales day: the water test as a sales tool, presenting to a homeowner, pricing, the four objections, and marketing water quality in your own town. The order is deliberate. Competence first, then the thing that turns competence into revenue.
Three consecutive days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in person. A certification exam closes every day and the credential is awarded on day three.
Twenty per city. Day three is coaching, roleplay and working your own numbers, and none of that survives a room of fifty. When a city fills, it fills.
$5,000 per seat. Travel and lodging are not included and are the only additional cost. No equipment purchase, no inventory commitment, no territory, no franchise fee.
Day one of three
The technical foundation. By the end of day one a technician can read a municipal water quality report the way an inspector reads it, run a field test correctly, and explain what the numbers mean without reaching for a brochure.
The report-first, then-the-tap sequence taught on day one is written up in the sixty-second water test and report hardness vs tap hardness.
Day two of three
The HALO line, what each system solves, and which home needs which one. A unit is in the room to see and touch. Nothing is installed. Attendees are licensed plumbers who already know how to hang equipment, so the day is spent on everything that happens before the wrench comes out.
The core HALO systems, including the HALO 5, H2 Zero Ultimate, Hybrid, H2 Zero Carbon, Ultra Plus RO and CK10. Sizing and application, which home needs what. Presenting each product like an expert. The warranty and support answers customers ask. Failure points and what causes callbacks. Certification exam.
An earlier version of this curriculum described day two as installation and service on live equipment. It is not, and it never should have been. Your technicians install equipment for a living. Teaching them to do it again is three hours of their life you are paying $5,000 for.
Day three of three
The day Roger Wakefield built himself, and the reason the other two days pay for themselves. Nothing in the industry's longer certifications covers this. It is the gap between a technician who knows water and a technician who sells water treatment.
The sixty seconds at the sink, run in front of the homeowner, after the report has been read.
The homeowner called a plumber. Day three keeps it that way.
What goes on the quote and why, so the number does not move when the homeowner frowns.
Do I even need this. Why does it cost that much. Can I just get one at Home Depot. I need to think about it. Taught out loud, then drilled cold at the end of the block. The four are written up in the four objections; the answers stay in the room.
What to do in the first two weeks back, so the certificate turns into calls.
The third exam. The HALO Certified Water Quality Expert credential is awarded on completion.
Close rate is the only variable training moves. You cannot train a technician into more service calls a day, and raising the installed price to make a spreadsheet work is not a strategy. Day three exists because close rate is the number that responds. What that is worth is on one system a week and the revenue per truck calculator.
The seat
| Item | Included | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Three days of instruction | Included | Taught by Roger Wakefield, Texas Master Plumber. |
| Certification | Included | HALO Certified Water Quality Expert, issued by HALO Water Systems on completion of the three exams. A certification, not a license: it does not authorize plumbing work and does not replace any state or local licensing requirement. |
| Complete water testing kit | Included | Goes home with the technician. |
| All course materials | Included | |
| Catered lunch daily | Included | |
| Equipment commitment | None | No minimum order, no territory, no franchise fee. |
| Travel and lodging | Not included | The only additional cost. |
The testing kit is the line owners overlook. A certification the technician cannot act on Monday morning is a certificate. A technician who walks back onto the truck with a kit in his hand can test the next house he enters.
The first two cities
Tuesday to Thursday, October 27-29, 2026. HALO Water Systems' hometown, a short drive from the factory, in a city served by three water districts blending imported and desalinated water. The one market where the water itself makes the case for field testing. Carlsbad details.
Tuesday to Thursday, November 3-5, 2026. The City of Dallas reports 120 to 155 milligrams per liter of hardness, 7.0 to 9.1 grains, and Roger's field readings in Dallas homes run 8 to 12. Hard water in every house on the system. Dallas details.
More cities are announced as these two fill. Both run 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., twenty seats, $5,000 a seat.

Questions
No. Nothing is installed at any class. It is a knowledge class for licensed plumbers who already know how to hang equipment, so the three days are spent on everything before the install: reading the water, knowing the product, and selling the job. A HALO unit is in the room on day two to see and touch.
Both work, and they get different things out of it. The class is taught at a level any technician can follow, and it is built for the person who has to turn water knowledge into revenue, which in most companies is an owner, a general manager or a team lead. Owners who attend tend to come back and restructure how the whole crew handles the water question.
HALO Certified Water Quality Expert, awarded by HALO Water Systems on completion of the three certification exams, one at the end of each day. The credential is awarded on day three. It is a certification, not a license, and it does not replace any state or local licensing requirement.
A licensed plumber can install and service water treatment equipment as part of normal plumbing work. Licensing is set by state and locality, so confirm your own jurisdiction, but no additional license is created or required by this certification.
Because day three is coaching, roleplay and working your own numbers, and none of that survives a room of fifty people. Twenty is the largest room where every attendee still gets worked with individually.
